Why LVT?
Why would you not? Our LVT flooring offers more benefits than you can shake a breadstick at. Scratch-resistant, not just moisture-resistant but waterproof, easy to maintain, durable and available in a wide range of designs and patterns. What’s not to love? It also provides a stylish, value-for-money effective and durable flooring solution for your kitchen.
Water Resistance
Water resistance doesn’t get much better than 100% waterproof and this is a key feature of Luvanto LVT flooring, making it an ideal choice for areas prone to moisture such as kitchens. The waterproof properties of LVT flooring help prevent damage from cooking spills and unforeseen leaks.
Durability
LVT has high durability against the heavy foot traffic that kitchens often bring, not to mention resistance to any hard things falling off the counter, as they may cause dents in other hard floors such as laminate. The wear layer of LVT flooring acts as a shield, safeguarding it against the rigours of daily use. Whether it’s spills, heels, or claws, the scratch-resistant layer ensures that the flooring retains its pristine look.
Easy Maintenance
One of the main benefits of LVT flooring is its easy maintenance.
Regular sweeping and occasional mopping with a mild cleaner are usually sufficient to keep LVT floors looking good. This simple routine helps to remove dust, dirt, and spills that can accumulate on the surface. Using Luvanto’s floor care, cleaning and maintenance kit from time-to-time can then help you achieve that showroom shine and keep your floor in the best condition for a long and healthy life..
Problems with alternative flooring choices
Ceramic or Porcelain has similar water-resistant properties, which is why it’s the most prominent choice for kitchen flooring – but LVT does the job better for several reasons. One, it’s more affordable and cost-effective for a similar look. And secondly, LVT is far more comfortable. It’s soft and warm underfoot, whereas ceramic and porcelain are quite cold and hard against your feet.
Hardwood, when exposed to water, actually has a chance of warping or staining if the water sets in. This makes it a fairly troublesome choice for kitchens despite their prevalence. LVT, of course, doesn’t have these issues. On top of that, whilst hardwood may be physically more impervious than LVT, LVT is more resistant to scratches and dents.
As for Laminate, unlike LVT which is highly water resistant, most laminates can be damaged by standing water and environments with high moisture as they often have a highly absorbable MDF core. When comparing both, LVT is a better fit for Kitchens due to its better resistance. Laminate is also colder than LVT and generally noisier underfoot, and we don’t need anything that’s going to make the house, and specifically your kitchen, any noisier than it already is.
